Alternate Title; How I Became A Grandma By 17

IMG_20191101_114352_872.jpgMy love for vintage all began with my granny’s restaurant. Oldies on the radio, pictures of Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Elvis Presley and Audrey Hepburn adorned the walls. I remember a picture of Marilyn that was larger then me at the time and how I so badly wanted to look as glamorous as her! Fast forward to when I was 15 and I joined Instagram. It didn’t take long for me to find a whole subdivision of vintage loving folk! Seeing how other people chose to embrace the styles of the past finally let me break through my own mental barrier and be who child me always wanted to be, minus the fact I will never be Marilyn Monroe.

I started my account called Grandmas Inspiration on Instagram and used it to spread images of women of the past. Other accounts already existed that did this but none seemed IMG_20191208_142835_533.jpgto share the beauty of everyday women. Working women, poor women, women of minority, I wanted to change that. Everyone can dress vintage and everyone deserves to see someone like themselves from the past. As I have expanded from Instagram to my own blog I now hope to share my passion and teach others how to embrace vintage style and culture, minus the bad stuff. Moving forward expect to
